How Do You Know When It's Time to Upgrade to Adobe Dreamweaver CS6

?

Web Design 2014.what is web design.learning. web design programs.services.tools.tutorials.campany.books on web design.the best web design.basics.development of web design.
Dreamweaver CS6 comes equipped with significant new features that allow web designers to create mobile-ready websites, sharper websites that are relevant for the global market, more responsive web properties, and more. If you are using an older version of Dreamweaver, now is the time to upgrade. If you're still skeptical, here are some arguments that should convince you:
Fluid Grid-based CSS layouts
CS6 has made it possible for designers to create adaptive CSS layouts that adjust to different screen resolutions. The result - when a web page is opened, it adjusts automatically to the viewer's hardware device (mobile, desktop, tablet). Designers can now save precious code time adapting one website for different devices.
CSS3 Transitions
The brand new CSS Transitions panel helps designers to easily apply property changes to page elements that are CSS-based. The result - web elements that respond to cursor events like hovering, focusing and clicking. For example, you can make a menu bar item change color when the user hovers over it. The icing on the cake is that designers can create CSS transitions using both code-level support and the CSS Transitions panel.
Integrating Phonegap Build
Designers without any knowledge of coding for mobile can now easily build mobile applications with their existing HTML, Javascript and CSS knowledge. This is made possible by the PhoneGap Build panel. After creating their app, they can download it on their computer for testing. PhoneGap Build manages the project and allows designers to create apps for iOS, Android, Blackberry, WebOS and Symbian.
JQuery Mobile
Dreamweaver CS 6 is equipped with JQuery Mobile v 1.0 and JQuery v 1.6.4. Designers can now choose full CSS files or split CSS files (structural or theme), and this gives designers greater flexibility.
Multiple CSS Class Selection
Designers can now apply many CSS classes to one single element. Once this is done, Dreamweaver CS 6 creates a new multiclass from the selections, and then this multiclass becomes available to the designer from other places where CSS selections are made.
Business Catalyst
The Business Catalyst panel allows designers to insert ecommerce and social media elements such as shopping carts, product catalogs, blogs, social media elements/integration, etc. These elements save enormous time and coding hassles. Designers can easily work on the databases of the Business Catalyst and switch over to the local Dreamweaver files, without losing focus and time.
Easy Image Optimization
Dreamweaver CS 6 makes image optimization as easy as 1-2-3. All that the designer has to do is select an image and click on Edit Image Settings (in the Property Inspector). He gets an instant preview of the image and then can optimize (the pixels) and save the image.
Do You Think It's Time To Change yet?
Dreamweaver CS 6 makes life easy for the designer, who can create very responsive, feature-rich and mobile websites without working up a sweat. If you are working on an older Dreamweaver version, then you surely would be missing out on these rich functions (described above). Don't you think it's high time to obtain adequate Adobe training and go in for an upgrade to CS 6?

Web Design 2014.what is web design.learning. web design programs.services.tools.tutorials.campany.books on web design.the best web design.basics.development of web design.
From the maker of Flash and PDF reader, Adobe has another program that has been gaining in popularity among professionals in the field of web design and development.
Adobe Dreamweaver is used by web designers and webmasters - novice and professionals - to create engaging and dynamic websites. If you aren't familiar yet with Adobe Dreamweaver, here are some reasons why this is one of the best website development programs available in the market.
  • With Adobe Dreamweaver, website management can be done a lot easier - as you can simply toggle between the many sites being worked on. This feature is a must for those who must tackle several projects at once.

  • The software comes with a feature that lets you upload the websites via built-in FTP. Combined with the keyboard shortcut, updating websites can be done in a flash. The built-in FTP also allows automatic changing of file permissions.

  • Adobe Dreamweaver is known for its excellent CSS features. This is just one of the many advantages of the program, as it simplifies coding processes. With an intuitive point and click CSS window, adding CSS styles to the site is as simple as 1, 2 and 3.

  • The program comes with a wide range of rollover buttons. You don't have to manually code the rollover buttons, because the program will do everything for you on the background. This makes creating rollover buttons super simple. You can even select from a dozen or more flash buttons with rollover effects. Just click and choose - and you'll see it straight on your website.

  • The built-in pop-up menus creation in Adobe Dreamweaver makes it super easy to create professional-looking web pages with navigation links. Likewise, everything will be done for you by the program behind the scenes, you just have to point and click to see the results. In addition to built-in pop-up menus, you can also create exceptionally functional web forms with Dreamweaver. The forms can be easily set to be sent to any email addresses.

  • One of the most essential features in Adobe Dreamweaver is the inclusion of Server Side Include buttons. Unlike other website building software, this feature is readily available for usage - and there are plenty options to select from.

  • The last on this list of benefits of using Adobe Dreamweaver is the inclusion of many template files. This makes designing the website easy for beginners, yet the program can also handle a more sophisticated design due to its flexibility.

To sum up, Adobe Dreamweaver is one of the best website creation and publishing solutions in the market. Find out what you have been missing by taking a training course on Adobe Dreamweaver to unlock its full potential.

Web site Creation made Simple, Web Design Templates, Web Design Graphics, How to Construct a Web Site

Template from Open Source Web Design being edited in Komposer
There are 2080 Templates to choose from

Simple Web Solution for Everyone

Open Source Web Design OSWB for short is another great Open Source Project. The site has no less that 2080 Templates which can be downloaded for free. The Templates can be opened in most Web Editing Software packages and then simply add your own content.
These templates are of a very high professional standard and to be honest are far superior to the templates available on a great deal of Web Editing programs that you pay for. The amount of design time you can save is using these templates is staggering and unless you are a very compitent Web Artist you probably won't be able to create such quality designs on your own.
Even if you are a Web Designer you would do well to have a look at these Templates, they represent an excellent diverse range of styles and subject matter which will give you great ideas and approaches to Web Design.
I Recommend Komposer as a Free Open Source Web editor, it is simple to use, has good help files and best of all its free. I opened up some of the free templates from OSWB and had no problem adding content and editing the files. You will still need to understand the basics of Web Design, such as creating Directories and the basic format of Web Page menu navigation, but for anyone with a bit of knowledge the combination of OSWB and Komposer is awesome.
Komposer is also Cross Platform and available for Windows, Mac and Linux systems. The details of how to access the OSWB site and download Komposer are available HERE along with other great free Graphic Design and Web resources.
Constructing a Web Site:
Working Out The Structure:
Before you begin designing a Web Site you need to have the 'Structure' of the Entire Site worked out first. It's worthwhile grabbing a note pad and drawing a diagram. Start with the Home page (called the index page) Work out what text will go on this page and what Images. From this page you will navigate to all the other pages on your site. You may have a simple site that has a Home Page, a Contact Us Page, and a Products or 'Main Content' page. However your Products Page may have Sub Categories leading to othe pages. Draw a flow diagram showing how each page will link to another. This is important because you will need to make 'Menus' on each page that allow a visitor to Navigate throughout the Whole Site.
Creating Folders:
Next it is a really good idea to make folders on your computer where you can place the final Web Site material. Start with a main Folder with the name of your Web Site eg. VintageCaps. Inside this folder you then create a Folder called HTML and another called Images. I then open up a simple text editor like Note Pad and create blank pages for each of the pages on the Web Site. You leave the page blank and Choose Save As and save the files in the following way: The main home page should be called index.html (just type in the .html extension and click save.) Save the file in the main folder eg. VintageCaps. Create the other pages like ContactUs.html and save them in the HTML folder. Important: If you are using one of the Templates from OSWB you can copy all the contents from their folder into your folder. They have a file called Index.html  let it overwrite your file.
The reason why we have all the pages already on your site before you even start a Web Editor is this: When you do begin Editing and start with your Home Page (index) you will create a menu to the rest of your site. Having Blank pages already there allows you to Point and Click to the pages to add hyperlinks. If you use a template you then have an page with a working menu, a format, Images, headers etc. You can then choose Save As and rename the page to overwrite the blank pages. Each page will then have a header design, format and a working menu. It saves you constructing each page from scratch. You can then edit and change the content of each page separately.
Preparing the Contents:
Next it is a good idea to prepare the Images that you plan to use on your Web Site. Make sure they are either 72dpi or 96dpi but no higher. Re- Scale the Images to fit the size of the area you intend to place them on the Web Site. For example the Images on this page are roughly 250pixels x 250 pixels at 72dpi. When you have done this save the file to the Images folder. If you want to know more about this read my Hub Article on Bitmaps. If you want a great program that will prepare a lot of Images in one go read another one of my Hub articles
Important Rules in Website Design

When it comes to making an online portfolio website, extra attention should be paid to every minute detail to make sure it performs optimally to serve its purpose.

Here are a set of important rules that you should be aware of and observe to make sure your website performs well and keeps visitors coming back time and time again.

All online portfolio sites should follow the  Website D
Web Design 2014.what is web design.learning. web design programs.services.tools.tutorials.campany.books on web design.the best web design.basics.development of web design.
esign Rules When Making An Online Portfolio. If your site has not been built around a set of tried and tested design rules then you are running into some major risks. One of the more painful experiences of not following some basic website design rules when making an online portfolio are that visitors don’t understand the purpose of your site and leave your site within a matter of seconds

attention When it comes to your website, extra  should be paid to every minute detail to make sure it performs optimally to serve its purpose. Here are 7 important rules of thumb to observe to make sure your web performs well.

No using splash pages
So Splash pages are the first pages you see when you arrive at a website. They normally have a very beautiful image with words like "welcome" or "click here to enter". In fact, they are just that -- pretty vases with no real purpose. Do not let your visitors have a reason to click on the "back" button! Give them the value of your site up front without the splash page.

NO using excessive banner advertisements

Even the least net savvy people have trained themselves to ignore banner advertisements so you will be wasting valuable website real estate. Instead, provide more valueable content and weave relevant affiliate links into your content, and let your visitors feel that they want to buy instead of being pushed to buy.

How to using a simple and clear navigation
You have to provide a simple and very straightforward navigation menu so that even a young child will know how to use it. Stay away from complicated Flash based menus or multi-tiered dropdown menus. If your visitors don't know how to navigate, they will leave your site.

How to using a clear indication of where the user is

So When visitors are deeply engrossed in browsing your site, you will want to make sure they know which part of the site they are in at that moment. That way, they will be able to browse relevant information or navigate to any section of the site easily. Don't confuse your visitors because confusion means "abandon ship"!

No using audio on web site
If your visitor is going to stay a long time at your site, reading your content, you will want to make sure they're not annoyed by some audio looping on and on on your website. If you insist on adding audio, make sure they have some control over it -- volume or muting controls would work fine.

Not only should your Web site be easy to find, your contact information should be easy to find as well. People like to know that there is a person at the other end of a Web site who can help them in the event that:
They need answers to questions which are not readily available on your Web site;  Some element on your site is not working and end users need to be able to tell you about it.
Web directory editors need you to modify parts of your site to be sure that your site is placed in the most relevant category.
A lot of people don’t like forms. It could be that a form doesn’t answer the specific need that they have. More frequently however, forms are generally time-consuming to complete and quite often request information that site visitors don’t wish to disclose.

A Good Design

Website is the virtual representation of your company whether your company exists physically or not. When you are doing business online, people cannot see you physically like how they could if they were dealing with an offline company. Hence, people do judge you by your covers. This is where a good design comes in.

Attention if you are running an offline company. Would you allow your salespersons to be dressed in shabby or casual clothes when they are dealing with your customers? By making your staff wear professionally, you are telling your customers that you do care about quality. This works simply because first impressions matter.

the same case is with your website. If your website is put together shabbily and looks like a 5 minute "quick fix", you are literally shouting to your visitors that you are not professional and you do not care for quality.

On the other hand, if you have a totally professional looking website layout, you are giving your visitors the perception that you have given meticulous attention to every detail and you care about professionalism. You are organised, focused and you really mean business.

On the other hand, you should also have anything related to your company well designed. From business cards to letterheads to promotional brochures, every little bit matters. This is because as you grow your business, these items become the face of your business. Once again, think of the "salesperson dressed shabbily" anology, and you will get my point.

our website is where your business resides -- it's like the headquarter of an offline company. Hence, it is important to practise good design principles to make sure your site reaches out to the maximum number of visitors and sells to as many people as possible.
sure you have clear directions on the navigation of your website. The navigation menu should be uncluttered and concise so that visitors know how to navigate around your website without confusion.

Reduce the number of images on your website. They make your site load very slowly and more often than not they are very unnecessary. If you think any image is essential on your site, make sure you optimize them using image editing programs so that they have a minimum file size.

Keep your text paragraphs at a reasonable length. If a paragraph is too long, you should split it into seperate paragraphs so that the text blocks will not be too big. This is important because a block of text that is too large will deter visitors from reading your content.

sure website complies to web standards at Esampim blogspot.com and make sure they are cross-browser compatible. If your website looks great in Internet Explorer but breaks horribly in Firefox and Opera, you will lose out on a lot of prospective visitors.

No using scripting languages on your site unless it is absolutely necessary. Use scripting languages to handle or manipulate data, not to create visual effects on your website. Heavy scripts will slow down the loading time of your site and even crash some browsers. Also, scripts are not supported across all browsers, so some visitors might miss important information because of that.

Use CSS to style your page content because they save alot of work by styling all elements on your website in one go.

A good design is unobtrusive

“Products and their design should be both neutral and restrained, to leave room for the user’s self-expression. Products fulfilling a purpose are like tools and are neither decorative objects nor works of art.”
